Film, television and stage icon, Nadine Garner, internationally acclaimed concert pianist Melvyn Tan and virtuoso violinist Madeleine Easton, join together for this theatrical retelling in words and music of Jane Austen’s most famous work. The enduring story of the romance between Elizabeth Bennet and Mr Darcy is presented in an intimate drawing-room setting, in much the same way that Jane herself first read the story aloud to the Austen family and their closest friends. Weaving around Austen’s own words is Carl Davis’ magical score from the much-loved BBC TV drama series of Pride and Prejudice. Faithfully adapted from what many consider the greatest romance novel of the English Language, Pride and Prejudice plays at the Sydney Opera House for a strictly limited season.

Hearing Loop Installed in all theatres. Concert Hall to be updated to match quality of advanced systems in other Opera House Theatres. Whilst all seats are served by the loop, some receive better service than others. Hearing aids to be switched to T for reception of program. Wheelchair seating is available to everyone through Interbocs. Should wheelchair access be required when tickets are booked, patrons are advised to notify the SOH on 9250 7111 to arrange for assistance and to ensure staff will be on hand to assist upon arrival before or after the performance. Disabled access by lift is available through stage door providing entrance to Stalls level only. Rows A-G in the Stalls have the easiest access. All upstairs levels and behind the stage are accessible by stairs only.
