Provided the event is not listed as “over 18’s only” children 12 years old & under MUST be accompanied by a paying adult. Accompaniment by a paying adult is recommended for children between the ages of 13 & 15 years old. For most events, all patrons must hold a valid ticket REGARDLESS OF AGE – this includes babes in arms! It is recommended you check the event page to confirm the babes in arms rule for your event.

Seating: General Admission seating means sitting on the ground. (most of Riverstage is GRASSED AREA on a gentle slope) Bad Weather Policy: Riverstage is an outdoor amphitheatre. If rain or bad weather occurs, the show will proceed, unless deemed unsafe to do so. No refunds will be authorised unless the event is cancelled. Accessible Seating & Companion Card Holder: Accessible seating may be purchased online. Bookings including a Companion Card ticket can only be collected from the Box Office. The Companion Card must be presented upon collection. A Handling Fee of $14.95/transaction applies for Resale Tickets. What parking choices are available near the Riverstage?

No parking is available on site. Patrons can use the various inner city pay-for parking stations. Limited metered parking along Alice Street. We recommend that you park at Southbank or one of the many CBD parking facilities.

Is there seating available for individuals with accessibility needs in Riverstage?

Wheelchair access is through Gate 1. For reserved seating events, wheelchair positions will be available in Gold Reserve seating (subject to availability). For General Admission price category, there is a Wheelchair Viewing Deck available on a platform at the top of the hill looking down on the stage.
