The price of each ticket includes a $1 Restoration Levy. This concert holds particular significance as it marks the 25th anniversary of the Australian Byzantine Choir. The concert will be divided into two parts, each offering a unique perspective on our cultural heritage. The first part will showcase Byzantine chant, deeply rooted in the major ecclesiastical feasts of the Church. It is a testament to the spiritual and musical depth which has captivated countless hearts throughout history. The second part will transport the audience through time, as the performance delves into Greek and Armenian folk music inspired by the Asia Minor Catastrophe of Smyrna and Pontus in 1922. During this second part, the Choir will be accompanied by the Aegean Quartet to create an unforgettable experience .

Children’s Policy: Children under 2 years are admitted for free provided they do not occupy a seat. Strictly no standing or dancing is permitted in the Mezzanine and Dress Circle. Accessible Seating & Companion Card Holders: Some accessible seating can be purchased online. Bookings including a Companion Card ticket can only be collected from the Box Office. The Companion Card must be presented upon collection. Call Ticketmaster’s Accessible Seating line on 1300 446 925 for Accessible / Companion Card & Hearing Loop bookings or information. There is a minimum of 20 stairs to the Dress Circle and Stalls. Patrons needing easy access seats should book for the Mezzanine. Row H has no stairs. There are 2 stairs per row from the back row (eg row G has 2 stairs, row F has 4 stairs etc)

Our preferred Car Park is located at the Queen Victoria Building (QVB). The entry to the car park is via York Street, with the option to self-park or utilize the valet parking service. Please present your parking ticket at the Theatre Manager Office to validate your parking for a discount rate of $12 during weeknights (entry after 5pm) and weekends. Wheelchair and disabled seating through the State Theatre. Call 1300 446 925 OR 02 8272 2700 for bookings. Due to heritage restrictions the State theatre currently has no hearing loop or disabled toilet within the theatre. Access to the State Theatre is on Market Street with seating on ground level.
