John Otway, (born October 2, 1952, in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, United Kingdom) is a self-confessed unsuccessful singer songwriter, who constructed a big cult viewers by means of unrelenting touring, a surreal sense of humour and a profitable underdog persona. Though his first single, Gypsy/Misty Mountain was launched in 1972, Otway shot to fame on the again of punk rock and a gymnastic efficiency on The Previous Gray Whistle Check. His sixth single, the half-spoken love tune Actually Free reached quantity 27 within the UK Singles Chart in 1977.
